The “Cava del duende” is a new project.
Like for the purchase of the land destined then to “Clandestino cabanias”, the idea for the wine cellar came at night, before falling asleep, too.
Thinking (but not so much ...) what I missed at Rodeo compared to Switzerland, I realized that we needed a place to meet and chat with friends, at the bar, with a fine glass of wine.
Therefore, I decided to construct a wine cellar for my friends and myself. But how?
Why not underground, I asked myself. After all, in summer, the temperature at Rodeo is high, but in the underground, it is much better, also for the wines.
An idea, which cost me a fortune! Nevertheless, there are ideas that arise because they have to be realized. I gave shape to the initial idea; I was convinced, that it would be interesting for tourists as well, since in Rodeo and in the surroundings you could not find good wine.
Perfect! We were able to offer to the guests the opportunity to exchange opinions, to chat with other people, to talk about the wind, the navigation or simply about holidays or politics while sipping a good wine… What more could you ask from life?
The “duende cellar” is different from all the other wineries in the world (I think so). Why? First of all, it is not for profit, but with the wines sold we want to improve the quality of the products. It allows you to spend a pleasant moment, testing good wines from small producers.
In the cellar there are mainly export wines (red, white, rosé, champagne and new since 2019, also special beer). The wines selected are mostly limited productions, this means that by drinking one of these bottles we will have a privilege that just few people can enjoy in a desert location.
